The fan's power can be adjusted as needed; I have used it for extraction in a sandblaster. The only downside is that the cord is a bit short.

I just got this fan a few days ago to replace a noisy relatively power hungry inline fan i already had. My first impressions are pretty good. I haven't installed the fan how I want yet, but I have messed around with it. First off, the description says it's 68 watts, I hooked it up to my kil-a-watt, and at maximum speed, it only draws 59-60 watts. So that is deffinately a bonus. While down at speed 2, it draws about 11 watts and still moves a decent amount of air. I do not have an anemometer or anything to verify flow rates. As far as noise, I haven't checked it with a decibel meter, but it's not the loudest fan in the world. Speed 2 you almost can't hear it, at 3 you start being able to because the Humm it creates is sort of a higher pitched Humm, not a deep lower tone. At speed 10, it gets kind of loud but not the loudest fan I've had. This review could possibly be premature, but overall I'm satisfied so far.

I purchased this unit and attached it to a 4” flexible hose, attached the hose to a dust collector shute and vented to the outside. It is surprisingly quiet for the amount of air it pushes and quickly removes the vast majority of the smoke and fumes created by the laser. I would highly recommend. Way better than the “solder, welding, nail polishing” units that are currently over promising functionality

I used this in my bathroom, and the system works exactly as I planned. I installed the sensor probe in the vent grill, and the fan activates as soon as the humidity level reaches the set point. It’s amazing! This unit offers more functionality than other expensive models I purchased previously, which I had to return due to their lack of user-friendliness. I hope this helps!
